It's that time of year again
Here we are then. It’s the tennis off-season.
Hang on, I thought that didn’t exist?
Well, technically it doesn’t. There are Challenger events in Athens, Bogota, Islamabad, Maia, Bahrain, Playford, Temuco, Buenos Aires… I could go on. But for the top echelons of the two tours, it’s Maldives season, as almost every top-20 player seems to have decided that the middle of the Indian Ocean is the perfect place to spend November.
Who am I to disagree? I’m sure it’s lovely.
There is nothing quite so glamorous in store for the podders: Calvin is spending his winter masochistically visiting Old Trafford, George is still chained to his Whitehall desk for 36.5 hours a week and James gets to walk the dog in the dark.
But we will keep on podcasting nevertheless, new in your feeds every Tuesday at 6pm. This week, we’re going to try and answer all your deepest and darkest questions about tennis past, present and future.
